This database is also now used to generate data for the FlightGear simulator, using data files that are different in format (and more sophisticated) than the X-Plane data files. I have worked with Austin to add additional airport and nav-aid details to X-Plane (such as custom taxiways, airports outside the boundaries of the USA, more accurate runway markings, etc) and during this time the master database has grown to over 20MB in size.
